Classic designer dining chairs made in Denmark and designed by the legendary Poul M. Volther in 1959.
Model is J48 produced by FDB Møbler studio. Every chair features the original matching 1959 FDB heat-engraving factory date stamp under the frame.
Crafted from gorgeous, premium solid teak wood with a rich, warm amber grain. Backrest Features horizontal slatted backrests that adapt seamlessly to the body. Seats are upholstered in a vintage blue and grey polka-dot pattern that nicely complements the aged teak timber tones.
All five chairs present in an excellent vintage condition. The frames are completely solid and steady with zero wobbles. All original joinery is completely sound and in perfect working order. Shows only very minor, superficial surface scratches consistent with household use over the last 60+ years—nothing deep or significant. The upholstery fabric is clean with no rips, no holes, and no structural damage.
